3. How to select the Smart Home Storage BMS for your battery pack ?
A. Battery Type Compatibility: LFP/NCM/ LTO. (If using LiFePO4 batteries, ensure the BMS is compatible with 3.2V nominal per cell.)
B. Number of Cells in Series (S) :For example, for a 8S battery pack (four cells in series), the BMS must select the 8S.
C. Current Rating (Discharge and Charge Current):For example, if your battery can discharge at 60A, your BMS must support at least 60A continuous discharge. Also you can add a margin (e.g., 20–30%) for safety.
D. Balancing Functionality: Passive Balancing: Dissipates excess energy as heat OR Active Balancing: Transfers energy between cells.
E: Communication Protocols: Supported Protocols: CANbus, RS485, UART, or Bluetooth. Ensure the BMS supports the protocol your inverter or smart home system uses.

- The DALY Smart Home Storage BMS (100A/200A, 8S/16S) is a powerful and versatile protection and management solution for LFP lithium battery packs. With 3.2‘’ display, Bluetooth module, and advanced communication options, it is well-suited for modern energy storage applications in homes and off-grid systems.
- With communication function, parameters such as over charge, over-discharge, over-current, charge-discharge over-current, equalization, over-temperature, under-temperature, sleep, capacity and other parameters can be set through the Mobile APP or Host Computer
- Safe Parallel Connection: When configured in parallel with a larger battery pack, the built-in parallel current limit feature can be used to limit the total charge or discharge current to 5A. This is especially useful when there is a need to prevent excessive current from damaging the BMS or batteries.
- 150mA Passive Balancing :When a cell is higher in voltage than the others, the BMS will bleed off energy to reduce its voltage until it matches the lower-voltage cells. This 150mA current ensures a slow, controlled balancing process that does not excessively drain the battery.
- Inverter Communication: Ensures that the BMS and inverter are working together to manage charge/discharge cycles based on real-time battery data.
