The J-QUANT QAC test strip range semi-quantitatively measures the QAC content of aqueous solutions up to 1000 mg/L (ppm). Quaternary Ammonium compounds or QACs are used as a disinfectant, like solutions of free chlorine, hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid. They find use in medical settings during sterilisation processes and well as in the food industry. Regulations state that the concentration of disinfection/sanitiser made of QACs must be monitored to ensure sufficient efficacy. The J-QUANT QAC range can fulfil this role.
